1. ISER (UAA's Institute of Social and Economic Research) is conducting a study of opinions on uses of undeveloped land in Mat-Su Borough. Several focus groups will take place next week, BUT you need to call toll-free 1-855-434-5497 to see if you qualify to participate. They apparently are still looking for participants. You may get a voice mail, and your call will be returned later, so if you're interested, call soon.
The first link is the flyer, and 2nd link is more details of the project.
2. The Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation's public meetings for the boroughwide master trails plan will be held throughout the MSB tentatively on the weekends of Oct 19-20; 26-27; and Nov 2-3. The Palmer one is tentatively scheduled for evening of Nov 2. Details as to locations and times should be firmed up next week (to catch Alaska Trails newsletter). The various locations are for convenience of your driving to the meeting, but you're free to attend whatever meeting(s) work for you. Each meeting will have a boroughwide approach. As I mentioned yesterday, pay attention to www.matsutrails.org and Mat Su Trails FB page ("like" it so you'll know what's happening) for details of this and the other meetings. There should be flyers and other advertising.
3. CMT meetings - no firm dates yet for public meetings (other than this Saturday's walk). Dates might be set by the end of the weekend, but not sure. If it is, I'll post it under announcements on our website (so I don't bug you with another email, but needed to get this ISER focus group announcement out ASAP).
